AFIRMAÇÕES DOUTRINÁRIAS ENQUANTO RESPOSTA ÀS TRANSFORMAÇÕES SOCIAIS E ELEMENTO IDENTITÁRIO

Resumo

A partir de algumas propostas de Francis Schaeffer e Alister MacGrath articuladas à pesquisa historiográfica, procuramos entender afirmação ou ênfase doutrinária, enquanto respostas à dinâmica cultural de nossos tempos. De igual modo, associamos à afirmação de MacGrath sobre o caráter da doutrina enquanto demarcador social, o fenômeno das ênfases doutrinárias e articulações eclesiológicas ocorridas no bojo da denominada revolução cultural a partir da década de 1960. Assim, as afirmações doutrinárias sustentadas pelas Assembleias de Deus naquela conjuntura, sugerem respostas à sociedade, e a outros grupos pentecostalizados, tendo como ponto de inflexão os eventos relacionados à revolução cultural, ao comportamento e aos produtos culturais enquanto referências identitárias.

ABSTRACT

Based on some proposals by Francis Schaeffer and Alister MacGrath articulated to the historiographical research, we try to understand doctrinal affirmation or emphasis, as answers to the cultural dynamics of our times. Similarly, we associate MacGrath's statement about the character of doctrine as a social demarcator, the phenomenon of doctrinal emphases and ecclesiological articulations that took place in the midst of the so-called cultural revolution since the 1960s. Thus, doctrinal affirmations supported by the Assemblies of God at that juncture, suggest responses to society, and to other pentecostalized groups, having as a point of inflection the events related to the cultural revolution, behavior and cultural products as identity references.
