O LUGAR DA DÚVIDA E DOS QUESTIONAMENTOS EXISTENCIAIS NO PROCESSO DO CONHECIMENTO TEOLÓGICO

Resumo

O texto de Tiago orienta que a oração do crente é aceita quando é feita com fé, e que a dúvida não alcança a graça de Deus. “Peça-a, porém, com fé, em nada duvidando; pois o que dúvida é semelhante à onda do mar, impelida e agitada pelo vento.” (1.6). Essa exortação teológica encontrada em Tiago, aplica-se a todo tipo de dúvida no contexto cristão? Seria a dúvida e os questionamentos existenciais na presença de Deus sempre pecaminosos? Uma ofensa? Sinais de incredulidade sem perdão? De fato, quando olhamos para a história, é necessário reconhecer que a dúvida teológica, em alguns contextos, levou à negação das principais doutrinas da tradição cristã: inspiração, inerrância e infalibilidade das Escrituras Sagradas, a doutrina da concepção virginal de Cristo e até mesmo à rejeição da ressurreição de Cristo. Por isso, essa reflexão se torna relevante e atual no contexto da busca do conhecimento no campo da Teologia. Esse artigo procura, portanto, refletir sobre o tema da dúvida e dos questionamentos filosóficos e existenciais no contexto da Teologia. O método de pesquisa será o bibliográfico e exegético. A pesquisa, no seu aspecto bíblico e exegético, será desenvolvida a partir do texto do profeta Habacuque.

ABSTRACT

The text of James states that the believer's prayer is accepted when it is done in faith, and that doubt does not reach the grace of God. "But ask in faith, and do not doubt; for what is in doubt is like the wave of the sea, driven and agitated by the wind.”(1.6). Does this theological exhortation found in James apply to all kinds of doubt in the Christian context? Is the doubt and existential questioning in the presence of God always sinful? An offense? Signs of unbelief without forgiveness? Indeed, when we look at history, it is necessary to recognize that theological doubt in some contexts has led to the negation of the main doctrines of the Christian tradition: inspiration, inerrancy and infallibility of the Holy Scriptures, the doctrine of the virginal conception of Christ and even the rejection of the resurrection of Christ. Therefore, this reflection becomes relevant and current in the context of the search for knowledge in the field of Theology. This article therefore seeks to reflect on the theme of doubt and philosophical and existential questions in the context of Theology. The research method will be bibliographical and exegetical. The research, in its biblical and exegetical aspect, will be developed from the text of the prophet Habakkuk.
