Abstract
The aim of this article is to understand some of the implications of the relation along the history between philosophy and faith. Proposing a careful analysis so that we understand the excess and also the despise of the influence of philosophy over faith and faith over philosophy. In general terms, the jointed proposal is about the possibility of a beligerancy and not a belic competition between these two elements. Faith represents the knowledge structured in the orthodoxical Christianity, and philosophy, itself, regards to the elaborate thinking of the human being from the rational and conceptual point of view. Both regard to the same themes, however, their answers not always follow the same direction. Thus, we don’t need to understand philosophy as intrinsically an enemy; on the contrary, we can make use of it in a way that it serves as instrumentality and at the same time apologetic articulation to the defense of faith.
Key-words: Philosophy; proposition; logical; faith; reason.
