MULTICULTURALISMO E IDENTIDADE SOCIAL COLETIVA: EXPERIÊNCIAS DIFERENTES EM LUGARES E TEMPOS DIFERENTES

Resumo

Refletir sobre a questão do multiculturalismo é perceber a importância da diversidade cultural presente nas sociedades contemporâneas. O presente artigo trata sobre a importância do multiculturalismo na defesa e reconhecimento da diversidade cultural e traz um exemplo descrito na Bíblia, no livro de Rute. A proposta será discutida por meio de análise bibliográfica. Questiona-se: Como compreender sucessivamente o movimento pelo qual a ideia de reconhecimento está voltada à busca pela satisfação e valorização das necessidades particulares dos indivíduos, enquanto membros de grupos culturais específicos? Há possibilidade de se estabelecer uma ideia de reconhecimento que perceba o indivíduo enquanto membro de uma comunidade nacional e enquanto membro de um grupo cultural específico? O diálogo apresenta-se como categoria fundamental para essa reflexão, considerando-se a evidência de crise de relações do ser humano com a realidade social e com as diferentes tradições religiosas.

ABSTRACT

Reflecting on the issue of multiculturalism is to realize the importance of cultural diversity present in contemporary societies. This article deals with the importance of multiculturalism in the defense and recognition of cultural diversity and brings an example described in the Bible, in the book of Ruth. The proposal will be discussed through bibliographic analysis. The questions are: How can we successively understand the movement by which the idea of recognition is aimed at the search for satisfaction and appreciation of the particular needs of individuals, as members of specific cultural groups? Is it possible to establish an idea of recognition that perceives the individual as a member of a national community and as a member of a specific cultural group? Dialogue presents itself as a fundamental category for this reflection, considering the evidence of a crisis in the relationship of human beings with social reality and with different religious traditions.
