O DESAFIO DO ACONSELHAMENTO PASTORAL A PESSOAS GRAVEMENTE ENFERMAS

Resumo

Caracteriza pacientes gravemente enfermas aqueles que estão em estágio avançado de uma moléstia, a qual pode levar o indivíduo à terminalidade, ou seja, são doentes na iminência de morte. Muitos desses estão em plena consciência e tem real noção de seu estado físico. Pensar na própria morte traz ao indivíduo sensação de medo, insegurança, finitude. Cada um reage de uma maneira quando se depara com essa realidade, muitos desses indivíduos ainda sofrem com dores, sintomas desagradáveis, e sensação de solidão visto que a tendência do ser humano é se afastar dessas pessoas, pois enxerga nelas a própria morte. O conselheiro cristão bem preparado pode ajudar positivamente esse paciente e seus familiares, trazendo a todos, conforto, segurança, alívio, ouvidos para ouvir suas carências e desabafos; além disso, pode ajudar o paciente a chegar à maturidade de fé, confiança e transformação para um caráter semelhante ao de Cristo; pode ainda conceder-lhe o direito de morrer com dignidade, através de uma comunidade de apoio que lhe dê atenção e calor humano, que lhe ajude a expressar amor e perdão, e a morrer na certeza de que o cristão tem vida eterna em Jesus e que a morte é vitória. Tudo isso, num ambiente de apoio e cuidados, capaz de aliviar, ao máximo, seus sofrimentos físico, psíquico e espiritual.

ABSTRACT

Characterizes those patients who are critically ill in an advanced stage of disease, that may lead to the individual terminal, patients are about to death. Many people these are fully aware and has real sense of their physical state. Think about your death brings the individual sense of fear, insecurity, finitude and each individual reacts when faced with this reality, many of these individuals still suffer from pain, unpleasant symptoms, and feelings of loneliness, since the trend human being is to remove these people because they see in them his own death. The Christian counselor well prepared, it can positively help patients and their families, bringing everyone, comfort, security, relief, and ears to hear their needs and outflow and they could help one to reach maturity of faith trust and transformation into a Christ-like character, giving that person the right to die with dignity, having a supportive community with care and warmth, helping you to express love and forgiveness, die in the certainty that the Christian has eternal life in Jesus and that death is victory, in an environment of support and care, alleviating their sufferings to the fullest physical, mental and spiritual.
