A NATUREZA DOS MODISMOS NA IGREJA

RESUMO

O presente estudo investiga a influência dos modismos na Igreja, com foco nas
práticas e doutrinas temporárias que surgem em resposta às demandas culturais
e emocionais, mas que, muitas vezes, se afastam dos ensinamentos bíblicos. A
pesquisa visa analisar os impactos desses modismos, como o enfraquecimento
da profundidade teológica, a perda da centralidade de Cristo e a diluição da
mensagem do Evangelho. Através da reflexão sobre as orientações de teólogos
antigos e contemporâneos, a pesquisa propõe que a Igreja deve permanecer firme
na fidelidade às Escrituras, resistindo à tentação de adaptar sua mensagem para
se acomodar a cultura. Ao contrário da busca pela relevância cultural a qualquer
custo, a Igreja deve focar na edificação espiritual sólida e na proclamação
inalterada do Evangelho. A fidelidade à doutrina bíblica e ao evangelho de Cristo
deve ser o alicerce fundamental para a Igreja enfrentar os desafios
contemporâneos.

ABSTRACT
This study investigates the influence of fads on the Church, focusing on temporary
practices and doctrines that arise in response to cultural and emotional demands,
but which often deviate from biblical teachings. The research aims to analyze the
impacts of these fads, such as the weakening of theological depth, the loss of the
centrality of Christ, and the dilution of the Gospel message. Through reflection on
the guidelines of ancient and contemporary theologians, the research proposes
that the Church must remain firm in fidelity to the Scriptures, resisting the
temptation to adapt its message to accommodate culture. Contrary to the search
for cultural relevance at any cost, the Church must focus on solid spiritual
edification and the unchanging proclamation of the Gospel. Fidelity to biblical
doctrine and the gospel of Christ must be the fundamental foundation for the
Church to face contemporary challenges.
