COMO AS PALAVRAS TEM SIGNIFICADO

Resumo

As palavras pelo som ou por sinais funcionam efetivamente possuindo sentido nas frases ou nos enunciados. Como as palavras tem significado? Como elas podem significar? O problema tradicional na filosofia da linguagem sobre o significado lingüístico, é analisado neste artigo como sendo, antes de tudo, uma questão da mente. Devemos compreender que a fala, como capacidade do ser humano para representar coisas e estados de coisas, é antes de tudo uma capacidade fundamental do cérebro/mente de representar. Não se trata de responder exaustivamente sobre o problema do significado, mas de buscar esclarecer as noções teóricas, seguindo uma corrente filosófica americana defendida por John Searle.

ABSTRACT

Words by means of sound or graphic signs work effectively as they had in the sentences or expressions. But how do works have meaning? How can they mean something? Above all, in this work the traditional problem of the philosophy of language is analyzed as a question of mind. We need to understand that the speech as a capacity of the human beings for representing. It is not the case to exhaust the problem of meaning, but to try to make clear the theorical notions which is defended by John Searle, according to an American philosophical trend. The main point is to show how the intrinsic Intentionality of mind is transferred to from what it is derived. We can or not speak mean fully. This is a difference on what Searle holds an idea that the Intentionality is a predominant fact for the words to have meanings.
