Educação cristã: um novo olhar sobre a totalidade da vida

Resumo

Esse ensaio descreve a formação integral de cada pessoa e da igreja com um todo em todas as esferas da vida e em todo o tempo como a meta da educação cristã integral. A ênfase é na integralidade da educação e da missão. Essa visão holística mostra as pontes entre a educação e a missão. Todos/as são discípulos missionários em todos os lugares e durante a vida toda. A Educação Cristã prepara as pessoas para a totalidade da vida e da missão. Essa educação nos dá uma visão integral e integrada, um novo olhar sobre a vida. A referência bíblico-teológica vem da vida e ensinamentos de Cristo e nossa união com Cristo no seio da comunidade cristã, focalizando na Carta aos Efésios. Um desenvolvimento integral individual e coletivo de cada crente leva a igreja a ser uma comunidade educadora e missionária na sociedade e no mundo.

Abstract

This essay describes the holistic formation of each member and of the church as a whole in all spheres of life at all times as the goal of integral Christian education. The emphasis is on the wholeness of education and mission and the connections between education and mission. This kind of education gives us a holistic and integrated vision, a new way of viewing life. The biblical-theological references come from the life and teachings of Christ and our union with Christ in the life of the Christian community, with focus on the Letter to the Ephesians. The holistic individual and corporate formation and development of each believer enables the church to become a teaching and missionary community in society and world.
